








CODP (Canara Organization for Development and Peace), Mangalore. It is working in the path of Charity and Social Work. Child Sponsorship Programme is one of the project among the various projects of CODP. Presently three agencies Viz. Caritas Praha of Czech Republic, Joy for Kids of Belgium and Spain Agency supporting Child Sponsorship Programme.
The Christmas get-together programme was organized by CODP through into Child Sponsorship Programme (CSP) to the beneficiary children/students on 30th of December 2025. The programme was held at Mother Theresa Hall, CODP for children/students of Puttur, Belthangady, Kumbla, Moodbidri, Bantwal and City centres of Mangalore Diocese. Total 215 beneficiary students and their parents participated in the Christmas Get together. Total 275 participants attended the programme. Breakfast was provided to all the participants.
The Director of CODP Fr Vincent Dsouza and Assistant Director Fr Lawrence Cutinha were unable to attend the Programme due to prior commitments but the children/students were assured of their prayers and blessings.
The programme commenced at around 10.30 a.m with a prayer song conducted by the CSP beneficiary students and inaugural programme was presided by Mrs. Dorice Linet Fernandes, Coordinator of CSP, CODP.
Christmas carols were sung and dance performed by the beneficiary children/students of Child Sponsorship Programme. .
After this activity games were conducted by CSP staff for different categories, LKG to 4th standard, 5th to 7th standard, 8th to 10th standard, PUC students, degree students and parents and prizes were distributed to the winners of the games.
Then the staff collected Easter letters from the children/students.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Dorice Linet Fernandes, Coordinator of Child Sponsorship Programme. The assistant Coordinator Ms. Priya Lavita Lobo delivered the Vote of Thanks.
This was followed by distribution of Christmas gifts to the beneficiary children/students. This year Utensil were distributed as Christmas gifts. The photos were taken before they left for their homes. The children were very happy to receive the gifts. The programme was concluded at 12:30 a.m.
