Educare Assistance 2026-27

  1. Student Eligibility
  1. Minimum Qualification:
    1. To apply for Educare assistance, students must have completed II PUC or the equivalent in a 10+2 education system.
    1. For general courses such as undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and nursing programmes, students must have secured at least 60% marks. For professional courses such as engineering and medical courses, at least 70% marks are required.
  2. Ineligible Courses:
    1. Students pursuing correspondence, part-time, private study courses, or specific job-oriented courses at tutorials are not eligible. Assistance is available only for regular university degrees or diplomas.
  3. Family Income:
    1. The total annual income of the entire family, including both parents and unmarried siblings, should be less than Rs. 6,00,000 (Rupees Six Lakhs only).
  4. Domicile and Religion:
    1. The assistance is available to students who are resident parishioners of parishes within the Mangalore and Udupi Dioceses. Adequate precautions must be taken in the case of families residing on a temporary rental basis.
  5. Course Location:
    1. Educare does not support overseas education or courses outside Karnataka unless the course is unavailable within the State.
  6. Admission Requirements:
    1. Only students admitted through NEET, CET, KRLMPCA, COMED-K, PGCET or equivalent government-recognised entrance processes are eligible. Proof of admission must be provided.
    1. Educare does not support management quota / payment seats.
  7. Application Requirements:
  8. Incomplete or misrepresented applications will be rejected without notice.
  9. All required documents must be submitted along with the application or at the time of interview. Failure to submit the necessary marks cards or documents will result in rejection.

The Educare Executive Committee shall have the final authority to approve and disburse assistance. The Committee may reject applications found to be non-genuine, undeserving or incomplete, without assigning any reason.

II. Application Submission Process

  1. Students must apply online through the Educare online portal / application link notified by Michael D’Souza & Family Charities by completing and submitting the full application.
  2. After online submission, the student must print the application, get it signed by the Gurkar, and submit it to the church office.
  3. Each parish will have a committee appointed by the Parish Priest to review and approve applications.
  4. Approved applications, duly signed by the PPC Vice President and the Parish Priest, should be sent either by the parish office or by the student, before the due date, to:

III. Required Documents

  1. Completed application signed by the Gurkar, PPC Vice President and Parish Priest.
  2. Copy of latest Aadhaar card of the student and guarantor.
  3. Copy of latest marks card.
  4. Proof of admission to a recognised course / fee structure / fee receipt.

IV. Application Deadline

  • Applications for the academic year 2026-27 will begin from June 1, 2026.
  • The last date to submit the hard copy for Renewal students is 31.07.2026.
  • The last date to submit the hard copy for fresh students is 31.08.2026.
  • Students must submit the application before the due date even if course exams, entrance exams or competitive exams are not complete. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
