Workshop on Gender Equality Organized at CODP

Mangaluru: On June 25, 2026, a workshop on gender equality was organized at the ISD Hall of the CODP institution for the Gender Equality Catalyst Team, which was formed under the Women Empowerment Project.

The program was presided over by Reverend Father Vincent D’Souza, Director of the CODP institution. Mr. Tukaram from the DEEDS organization attended as the resource person and conducted the training session.

During the workshop, detailed insights were shared regarding societal attitudes toward men and women, existing discrimination, and the necessary changes that need to occur in society. Furthermore, effective methods of training on gender equality were demonstrated through engaging group activities.

A total of 40 women representing various federations and apex bodies actively participated in this workshop. Reverend Father Lawrence Cuthinha, Assistant Director of CODP, Ms. Supriya, Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project, and other staff members were also present.

ದಿನಾಂಕ ೨೫.೦೬.೨೦೨೬ ರಂದು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿತವಾದ ಲಿಂಗ ಸಮಾನತಾ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಲಿಂಗ ಸಮಾನತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರವನ್ನು ಸಿಒಡಿಪಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಐಎಸ್‌ಡಿ ಹಾಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು .ಸಭೆಯ ಅದ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿಒಡಿಪಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾದರ್ ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಡೀಡ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ತುಕರಾಮ್ ರವರು ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡು-ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಮನೋಭಾವ , ತಾರತಮ್ಯತೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗುಂಪು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಲಿಂಗಸಮಾನತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ೪೦ ಮಂದಿ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟ/ಮಹಾಸಂಘದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾದರ್ ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಯೋಜನಾ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಕು.ಸುಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
