A one day holiday camp was organized by Child Sponsorship Programme (CSP) of CODP to the beneficiary children/students of this programme on 2nd of October 2025. The camp was held at CODP for CSP sponsored children/students of Puttur, Belthangady, Moodbidri, City, Bantwal and Kumbla centres of Mangalore Diocese.
The programme commenced at 10.30am. The resource person and Chief Guest for the camp was Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes, Director of Canara Communication Centre of Mangalore Diocese.
The programme started with a prayer hymn sung by CSP students and inaugural programme was presided by Mrs. Dorice Linet Fernandes, Coordinator of CSP CODP.
Regarding Child sponsorship programme general instructions were given by CSP coordinator which they were asked to follow strictly.
The resource person and Chief Guest Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes spoke on Social media, mobile phone usage, cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, inculcating moral values and enhancing skills and also highlighted the feast of Guardian Angel and Gandhi Jayanthi.
After this activity games were conducted by CSP staff for different categories, LKG to 4th standard, 5th to 7th standard, 8th to 10th standard, PUC students and degree students and prizes were distributed to the winners of the games.
Then the staff collected Christmas letters from the children/students.
After this the children/students expressed their happiness regarding the programme and thanked the staff of CODP. Then the Assistant Coordinator Ms. Priya Lavita Lobo proposed the vote of thanks. Total 308 CSP beneficiary children/students and their parents participated in the camp. The camp included breakfast and lunch for the children and their parents. The programme was conducted by CSP Coordinator Mrs. Dorice Linet Fernandes. The programme got concluded at around 3.00pm.
