The CODP® Mangaluru has over 400 Self Help Groups spread out in various parts of Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod District. The staff of CODP are involved in imparting training to the members of these SHGs on various topics and also encourage internal savings/lending, or availing loan from banks for self-employment and income generating purposes.
In order to maintain a correct record of savings/loan availed by the members of SHGs, the CODP organized a training to its field staff on 16th Feb.2023 based on practical implementation of the SHG Data entry app to be used at field level. On 15th Feb.2023 the working pattern and benefits of this software was explained to the Director;Rev. Fr Vincent Dsouza, Mr Stephen Pinto and Mr Oswald Rodrigues; Educare Trust, and Mr.Ravikumar Crasta, Co-ordinator of SHGs. The training on this software developed by Pinnacle Technologies, Udupi, was imparted by Mr Joel Sequeira and Mr Roshan Mendonca. In all, 18 members, participated in the sessions.
